Greetings all,
Since taking the GIS programs at the FRCC
and CSU, I thought some
of you might be interested in the first project.
Since it shows star party
sites around the Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico,
Oregon and Washington,
and the East Coast centered on Washington D.C.
So click on this link and
the next four images for those maps.
http://starmon.com/gis/splp_map.html
The first map is an Albers
projection of the United States, a template
that comes with ArcGIS 9. It is overlaid on a
light pollution map and
"georeferenced" or orthorectified. Little green
" + " are the sites themselves.
Each one (that I can find) will have 'contact'
information and indicate whether
or not there is a Dark
Sky Clocks (3721) for that site.
